Mrs. Ndidde Nankya Alice is the chairperson of EAPIL’s Legal & Administration Board Committee. She is a highly motivated, people oriented and practical woman who has gained vast experience in facilitation, training of trainers, advocacy and lobbying skills along with corporate governance and leadership skills gained during her professional training but also through her working experience as a lecturer at Makerere University, consulting researcher, evaluator and as a volunteer in several CSOs in Uganda.
She holds a Masters of Education from University of Glasgow, UK together with other certificates gained in the areas of social Development. Since 1988 to date, she has worked as a lecturer at the Department of Adult and Community Education in the School of Distance and Life Long learning. Furthermore, she has worked on so many research projects for both national & international organizations in the capacities of a lead evaluator, coordinator and principal researcher.
As a scholar, she has published, contributed and co-authored a number of articles, the most recent one being: Ndidde, A., Ahimbisibwe, K. & Kontinen, T. Gendered Citizenship in Rural Uganda. Localized, Exclusive and Active. In Holma, K. & Kontinen, T. (eds.) (2020): Practices of citizenship in East Africa: Perspectives from Philosophical Pragmatism.
Mrs. Ndidde has participated in evaluating a number of Development Cooperation supported programs in Uganda. As a Resident Evaluator for USADF, she has facilitated Ugandan NGOs and CBOs to strengthen their capacity to establish participatory monitoring and evaluation systems. She has served as Chairperson Board of Directors for Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) Training Institute, Chairperson for Action for Development (ACFODE), and a member to other Boards such as Uganda Red Cross Central Governing Board, Community Development Resource Network (CDRN) and FOCCAS Uganda Micro- Finance. Currently, she is a member of Uganda Red Cross Compliance and Integrity Committee.
